So tonight was a nerve wracking night. I really don’t like to talk in front of people. It scares me. But I think this is where I am headed. It was a very freeing experience being able to reach people with my point of view on a subject.
I did feel very empowered and started to believe in myself a little bit as I was talking.
I also felt very sure knowing that this is what I am supposed to be doing. My conviction for telling the LGBT community that they are loved and accepted was so much stronger after the show. I was also proud to represent the Transfamily Support Group.
I was very impressed with the other person who was interviewing with me, Paisley Hayley Frost. She is another ally nominee for her work with the Gay/Straight Alliance in San Lorenzo Valley. I really did feel like we were on the same page.
I was so honored to be asked to speak on this radio segment. Now it's on to the awards this Saturday night!
Here's the audio from the interview. It's just our segment.
