We're a parent facilitated, culturally inclusive group and free of charge.Our meetings are private and drop-in. Together we share specialized knowledge and personal experiences addressing the unique challenges we face supporting our extraordinary trans, genderqueer, non binary, gender fluid, gender creative, and gender questioning children of any and every age. We're a group of parents with teen and young adults who are transgender or gender fluid living up and down the San Francisco Peninsula. This support group is for parents and family members. Hosted by transgender parents, whose goal is to help other parents and family members gain support and education in a safe, loving, and respectful environment.

We're a group of parents with young gender-creative or transgender kids (up to about age 13, though all ages are welcome) living up and down the San Francisco Peninsula. Sometimes only the parents meet in a support group setting, and other times we meet with our children for a family play group. It's wonderful to see our children playing and growing up together. Transgender Parent Support Group of The Peninsula

There is now a PFLAG sponsored group that provides support for parents and family members of transgender youth on the Peninsula.  The group meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Location: San Francisco LGBT Community Center, 1800 Market St. at Octavia Blvd, San Francisco

Gender Identity Awareness Network in San Jose

A loosely connected network of professionals in the South Bay and Peninsula dedicated to providing gender affirmative services to the gender nonconforming community. As part of an ongoing effort to meet some of the social and emotional needs of gender expansive children and teens, as well as, their families, this organization continues to offer multiple support groups running simultaneously.

Transfamily Support Group has long recognized the need for this form of sibling support and looks forward to promoting and encouraging the Trans Siblings Support Group by offering communication, facilitation, and administrative tools as this new group emerges under our umbrella. Katrina is stepping up to provide for a need she identified in herself, and is creating a space for others to connect, process, and grow while experiencing the family dynamics impacting their lives when siblings are transgender, transitioning, or questioning. This is a casual group that meets without a therapist or formal facilitator; therefore, it is only open to siblings ages 18+; contact Katrina with special requests for a sibling to attend who is less than 18 years old.

Big Brothers Big Sisters TransMentoring Program 

Santa Cruz Big Brothers and Big Sisters now offers a Transmentoring Program for transgender children ages 7-17.
